Internet Job Locator Exposed

I was looking for a part time job on Career Builder when I came across an ad describing an easy way to make money online.  Of course I had to check it out.  I clicked on the ad and read the entire website that it was linked to. The website claimed that you can make money online by just simply placing product ads on Ebay for Big Companies such as Apple, Compaq, and Adidas.  They claimed that these major companies needed what they called “Auction Listing Agents” to place ads for their products on Ebay and would pay them 5 dollars per ad when the product sold.

They also claimed you can place as many ads as you wanted to in a day to and could make a good amount of money doing this. For example, 5 ads per day=25 dollars, 20 ads=100 dollars per day, etc. The main reason why these companies were doing this is because they didn’t want to pay employees to place ads on Ebay and wanted to cut costs such as healthcare and other related employee benefits.  This opportunity sounded great, but something didn’t add up.  It sounded too good to be true.  I did a lot of research and later found out the truth.

First of all, the sales page for Internet Job Locator really does not do an honest job of telling you all the facts and realities of the business opportunity that they’re selling, and as a result many people sign up without really knowing what they’re getting themselves into. The main opportunity is for what they call an Auction Listing Agent. This is a fabricated “job” that they have invented to more effectively sell this course.  What this really means is becoming a drop-shipper and selling items on eBay.

Drop-shipping simply means you work with a wholesaler that is responsible for everything regarding the actual items.  They store the products in their warehouses and ship them out whenever you make a sale.  So that part of Internet Job Locator is true, all you really have to do is place the items on eBay. What they don’t tell you is how difficult it is to actually carve out a living with this method. While it may not be an outright scam they do a lot of things to misrepresent and completely overhype the income and ease of this business.  For starters they don’t mention that you have to pay the drop-shipper a monthly fee for their services.

In addition they like to lure customers in with a table of potential income, the graph shows that at a profit of 5 dollars a listed item you can make as much as you want simply by listing more items.  Their figures go all the way up to a six figure plus income. This is completely fabricated because no one actually pays you to list the items, you only make money when your auctions sell and then your profit is the sale amount of the item minus the wholesale cost and minus eBay fees. The problem is that there is a lot of competition on eBay from a lot of experienced drop-shippers who often have long standing personal relationships with these companies and get better prices than you.  The result of having lots of competition and little to no edge on the market is very low profit margins.

In conclusion, if you are an experienced Ebay seller or a Drop-Shipping expert, this may be a great opportunity for you.  You ‘COULD” make a good amount of money once you deduct the monthly fees and other costs.  But if you’re looking for a real work at home opportunity or a way to make real income online, this might not be the best way to go.  It’s too many hidden costs involved and there is no guarantee to make any income once they have your money.
