Flip and Make Money?

The topic of this post doesn't really relate to making on the internet, but does relate to a common investment trend that has been going on over the last year. Flipping a House is what they call it. This basically occurs when a person purchases, fixes up, and sells or rents a house for a profit. Flipping a house became famous through the television reality show ironically named "Flip This House". The show consists of regular people buying low market priced properties in hopes of fixing them up to make a good profit. It's that plain and simple. Or is it? The show portrays the process of flipping a house as rather easy and that most of the time you will make a nice profit. In reality, the process of flipping a house is much harder then it seems.

How hard is it? Very Hard. I know this because my uncle is not only a Hospital Administrator and a Doctor, but a real estate investor who explained to me all that's involved in the process. The key element needed in the process is a team of people, kind of like the A-Team. What I mean is that you need a team of experts. You''ll need lawyers, carpenters, appraisers, inspectors, and a loan from a bank among other things. Another element needed here is a understanding of marketing. What I mean by marketing is that you need

It Takes Money To Make Money?

Have you ever heard of the phrase it takes money to make money? For the most part this statement is true because most investments require some small amounts of money or start up costs when it comes to any business. When it comes to making money on the internet that statement is relatively not true. When it comes to the internet, it takes time to make money. Another way to phrase this is to say "Time is Money". You can invest your time instead of money when it comes to the internet. The idea behind this concept is simple; Invest low (relating to not spending any money) and receive the biggest return possible. I spend about three hours a day (usually at night before i go to bed) completing surveys and doing other stuff on the internet to make money on the side. The common thread between all these websites that I utilize is that they are all free to join and don't cost me a penny. I just spend TIME and effort instead of money. Making money on the internet isn't hard, it just requires a little effort, time, and creativity.

Time is the key when it comes to any business

In any business, it takes time to turn a profit. It may be months before you see any type of real profit. The key is to be patient and to believe in your business idea. Many people get instantly discouraged and give up if they don't make a profit in the first days of their new business. The truth is that marketing your business takes time and a little money. A good example of this concept is Ebay. Ebay is a popular website with millions of views per day so drawing traffic to your page is not an issue. The problem is actually getting people to buy what your selling. How is this mainly achieved? Becoming a power seller. How do you become a power seller? This is achieved through numerous positive transactions between you and your customers. Having one positive review on Ebay will not make you a powerseller, but many will. Having a good track record and no negative feedback lets your potential customers know that they can trust you and that they should buy from you.

The point I'm making here is that it takes time to be successful in any business. It takes months, even years to become a power seller on Ebay. But once you have built a strong foundation and track record, the money will start coming and you will be happy with the results. Success is not always guaranteed, and people do fail at business. This is due to numerous reasons. It could be a bad product, bad marketing, bad customer service, or lack of effort. If for some reason you do fail, use these tips and words of wisdom in the future.

-Learn from your mistakes: Try to figure out what went wrong and tweak your strategy

-Ask for expert advice: Find someone who has succeeded in the business your trying to start
and ask for advice.

-Rethink, Retool: Look at different marketing or business techniques and incorporate them into
your business.

-It's not the end of the world: Don't be afraid of failure. Thomas Edison and other great
inventors failed thousands of times before they succeeded.

Before you create a website and try to make money....

Think about marketing. Most new websites/internet businesses (the ones that are not associated with EBay and Amazon type websites because the target traffic you need is already there) fail because the owners don't think about how to promote it first. You can have the most amazing website in the world with the best products to sell. If you don't have any traffic to your site you won't sell your products. If you don't sell your products, you won't make any profits. No profits equals the death of your website and financial dreams. The best way to avoid failure is to market your website in different ways. The easiest way is to submit your website to a search engine. This is usually the most expensive, yet most effective way to promote your website. Another technique is through relationship marketing. This is done through social networks such as facebook and myspace among others. This method takes the longest, but is free to do.

Be careful when applying for jobs online

Like most seekers, I was applying for a job on the Internet.  Specifically, I was applying for a better job that payed more since my current job didn’t pay that much money.  I applied for a job at a shipping/warehouse company that paid 14$ per hour, which is actually about double what I’m currently making.  I received an e-mail about two days later that stated that I’ve been selected for a pre-screening and I must click on a link to finish this process.  I didn’t find anything wrong with this so I proceeded.

I filled out all the info they requested and thought I was done with everything.  Towards the end of the pre-screening, the company stated that I needed to bring a copy of my credit report to the interview.  They instructed me get one from Thinkcreditreport.com and that it was free through them at this time. They also said I had to do this first before I could submit my pre-screening info.  I saw no problem with this because they said it was “free” and that by doing this I was likely to receive the job.  Little that I know that they said was all lies.
First of all, the free credit report was not free.  Initially, they said it was free.  Then they said it was one dollar.  After that, they said it was one dollar to try it for seven days.  After the seven days, it was 29.95$ per month.  I was shocked by the entire situation, but I had to obtain this report in order to be considered for the job.  I finished the process and tried to submit my pre-screening info when the page stated that an error occurred and that it will be fixed shortly; that never happened.   I waited hours for this problem to be fixed but it never happened.  I tried to go back to the previous page, but it wouldn’t. I tried to e-mail the guy who e-mailed me about the job but for some reason the e-mail that I sent him came back….”TWICE”!!!

I called the credit report company to cancel my membership, but this process took forever.  When I called, I was on hold for about a half hour.  When I did get through, I found out that they signed me up for all this stuff I did’t ask for such as magazine subscriptions and restaurant gift cards.  It took me twenty minutes to convince this guy to cancel my membership and all that other stuff I didn’t want.   Eventually, he did cancel my membership and I was finally done with all this crap.  Be careful out there people. If you have to spend any money of any amount to receive a job, don’t do it; especially if you have to enter your credit card information. Just click the back button and keep moving forward.

Quack Quack Scam!!!

Have you ever heard of the phrase "If it quacks like a duck, and if walks like a duck, then it must be a duck"? Well this also applies to any internet scam. If it sounds and smells like a scam, then it is a scam. Most scams that are on the internet are too obvious to me. They usually ask for money up front in order gain access to some kind of special membership software or some other crap they make up. Another trait these scams have is outrageous testimonials and e-mail only contact information. If a company can't afford a phone number than they shouldn't be in business anyways.

The most common scam going today is the type-at-home and rebate processor scam. These are scams mainly because of the bogus membership fees. First of all, these are not one time membership fees, but monthly membership fees. This means that you basically pay to be employed which makes no since. Think about it, would you pay to stay employed at your current job? Of course not. The purpose of working is for your employer to pay you, not vise versa.

CashCrate Advice And Tips Part 2

In this entry, I'll briefly discuss one the best strategy's to use when it comes to Cash Crate. The best piece of software you can have while doing a Cash Crate offer or survey is a good web browser. FireFox is the fastest and safest web browser I've seen to date. FireFox has numerous features and excellent Internet security components. The reason why you need a good web browser is to complete each offer and survey as quickly as possible. A good strategy is to click on five similar offers, which opens five separate tabs, and complete each offer simultaneously to save time.  The other software I suggest is Roboform.  You can fill out information for many offers with a touch of a button.  In other words, instead of filling out information manually, just click a button and all your information is automatically entered into any form on the internet. It's that easy.
